Investigating authorities have traced the whereabouts of the mother a newborn girl who was found in a garbage can in Bhopal on Sunday night. The police say prima facie it seems the mother dumped her newborn child.
CCTV footage revealed that the newborn baby was dumped into the
garbage can by a woman who had covered her face. They say that the young
woman threw her baby to escape humiliation and social stigma. She
delivered the child on Sunday and abandoned her few hours later.
