See the life of Awa-Guaja tribe via Daniel Rodrigues lens

After facing resistance from Brazil government for two years, photographer Daniel Rodrigues finally got the chance, last year, to visit Amazon rainforest. Here at the Alto Turiacu, he documented the life of Awa-Guaja tribe via his lens, a life which is pure, pristine and tragically, fleeting.

 

Till now the places where I have visited, people do at least know what camera is, but the tribe here is living such a remote life that they don't know about this gadget, said Rodrigues.

 

They are living primitive life but still they are very happy, photographer added.

 

However, their way of life is being threatened by relentless loggers now who are illegally encroaching on their land, according to Brazil's National Indian Foundation.

 

The tribe is made of forest foragers and dexterous hunters.

Apple posts record profit in Q1 2015: 5 Important things to know

For Apple the year 2015 has begun with good news of record profits. The company organized the Q1 2015 financial year first quarter results conference call this week, it which it announced record quarterly revenue of $74.6 billion and record quarterly net profit of $18 billion.

 

The company posted a revenue of $51,182 million from the sale of iPhones which is more than twice what it earned in Q4 2014.

 

The Steve Jobs company sold a stunning 74.5 million iPhones in its holiday quarter, which is past analyst expectations of 69 million in sales. This helped “drive the company to record profits of $18 billion”, says WashingtonPost.

 

At the conference call, it also revealed the date of shipping for its first wearable watch. The new wearable announced in September last year - the Apple Watch - will start shipping in the month of April this year, said Apple.

McSHAME! McDonalds in Pune THROWS OUT street kid who wanted to buy Fanta float

In a shocking incident, a McDonalds restaurant in Pune allegedly threw out a poor street kid when he tried to purchase a Fanta float in the joint. The alleged incident stands described in the form of a discussion thread on Reddit, in which one lady (through her Facebook profile’s wall) puts down the total details of what exactly happened.  News website Firstpost also reports the incident. Reddit posted a tweet about the entire incident.

As per the lady, she along with her peers came across a poor street kid outside the fast food joint while making an exit from the place. The kid asked her to buy some Coke floats and she decided to buy him a Fanta float.

An Israeli woman was harassed by a roadside Romeo in a busy market, namely Sarrafa Chaupati in Indore on Friday night where she had gone with an acquaintance. Eyewitnesses told Dainik Bhaskar that the man molested the Israeli tourist and passed lewd comments at her saying, “Hello madam, spend some time with me also.”

More than 200 dead bodies, their body parts and skeletons have been found floating near the banks of river Ganga, here in Kanpur district. These corpses, including those of kids, mature and old people are serving as food for Dogs, vultures and crows. The identities of these are not known.
