Leela Samson recently resigned from the position of chairperson of the Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC) after the Film Certification Appellate Tribunal reversed the decision to ban MSG: The Messenger of God featuring Dera Sacha Sauda founder Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh in  the lead role. The Tribunal cleared the screening of the movie later.
