From Patanjali to Haldiram’s: 5 Desi ‘small-time’ brands that give big corporates a run for their money!

Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali Ayurved had a quiet beginning in 2007, despite his mass following. However, in a span of just 5 years, Patanjali which manufactures products ranging from soaps and toothpaste to hair cleanser, has been able to find its niche in the Indian FGCG market by registering a turnover of nearly Rs. 1,200 crore from Rs. 450 crore in the fiscal year 2012 which is more than 70 per cent rise.
