After facing resistance from Brazil government for two years,
photographer Daniel Rodrigues finally got the chance, last year, to
visit Amazon rainforest. Here at the Alto Turiacu, he documented the
life of Awa-Guaja tribe via his lens, a life which is pure, pristine and
tragically, fleeting.
Till now the places where I have visited, people do at least know
what camera is, but the tribe here is living such a remote life that
they don't know about this gadget, said Rodrigues.
They are living primitive life but still they are very happy, photographer added.
However, their way of life is being threatened by relentless
loggers now who are illegally encroaching on their land, according to
Brazil's National Indian Foundation.
The tribe is made of forest foragers and dexterous hunters.
